What is happening in the crypto universe at the start of 2024? An unprecedented number of new tokens have indeed been launched since April 1st! Exceeding the million mark, this tsunami confirms the real madness that seems to have gripped the sector, particularly around memecoins. Indeed, it is these purely speculative tokens which are at the heart of this crypto tidal wave.
Crypto: More than a million new tokens, historic!
The numbers are simply staggering and show unprecedented enthusiasm for the creation of new tokens. Thus, no less than 372,642 new tokens were launched on Ethereum since the beginning of April. A recording! Layer 2 Base concentrated 88% of these emissions, the epicenter of a speculative frenzy.
But this is nothing compared to the Solana blockchain, which saw the appearance of more than 643,000 new tokens! A digital avalanche demonstrating the scale of the phenomenon surrounding memecoins on Solana. This efficient network has in fact become the preferred lair for the developers of these comical cryptocurrencies.

The nature of these new tokens is clear, as most of them are memecoins. On Solana, no less than 466,914 643,000 new tokens issued are memecoins. A tsunami confirming that the blockchain is hosting a gigantic wave of these speculative crypto creations.
This frenzy is not spared on other networks either. Everywhere, the trend in 2024 is for memetic and humorous tokens! Supported by traders and developers, this crypto madness, especially on Solana, may not yet have reached its peak.

Far from being ephemeral, this proliferation could well continue, symbolizing the creativity and strong speculative potential of cryptos in 2024.
