Web3 Game ‘The Backwoods’ Launches Hero NFTs on Tensor
Tensora popular NFT marketplace on Solana, announced its partnership with The wildernessdesignating itself as the official launchpad partner to launch the game’s latest NFT collection.
The new collection includes 6,666 Hero NFTs designed to enhance the Backwoods gaming experience by providing holders with special in-game abilities, free Virtual Item Tokens (VITs) to redeem rewards, and additional in-game perks.
Minting begins today, May 16th at 5pm UTC, and will occur in three phases: Whitelist (200 $USDC on $SOL), Tensorians (225 $USDC on $SOL), and Public (226 $USDC on $SOL).

What is the backlands?
The wilderness is a roguelite game which combines elements of slash ’em up and shoot ’em up built on the Solana blockchain.
At the center of the game is Eldertree, a colossal tree that radiates arcane energy and is home to a variety of inhabitants, including humans and fantastical creatures, all of whom derive their life force from Eldertree’s sacred $LEAF.
The Backwoods also features its heroes NFT collection, each featuring pixel art with attributes determined by the character’s race, influencing their skills and abilities. These heroes use unique weapons to fight demonic creatures to progress through levels and allow players to obtain powerful equipment and earn game tokens, $LEAF and $SEED.
The game is currently in Closed Alpha, with access restricted by a passcode distributed via X, Discord events, community collaborations, and in-person invites.
