Donald Trump has spent time away from his silent trial by hosting a dinner at his Mar-a-Lago residence for buyers of your NFT collectible cards.

Those who were reportedly in attendance were reportedly supporters who spent thousands of dollars on Mr. Trump’s ‘MugShot Edition’ NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, according to Axios.

Despite Trump telling reporters outside the courtroom on Tuesday that he should “be campaigning now” for his presidential election bid, he then flew back to Florida for his NFT dinner.

According to a copy of the dinner invitation reviewed by Axios, the evening would be graced by supporters who purchased at least 47 Trump NFTs.

From him the site also reported when NFT cards went on sale in Aprilthat if a person buys 47 digital cards – spending around US$4,653 – they can get a ticket to a gala dinner with the former president at his home. Mar-a-Lago residence.

Costing $99 each, some cards were “one of a kind” while others were hand-signed by Trump, the website claims.

Several clips from the event circulated on social media, including the former president saying that cryptocurrency companies are pulling out of the US because of “hostility.”

When asked by a dinner goer what he would do to change that, he responded, “Well, let’s stop it because I don’t want that, I don’t want that. If we want to accept it, we have to let them be here.”

Trump also made a bold claim that his NFT collection “has made NFTs hot again,” which received a round of applause from the audience.

“If you are for encryption, you better vote for Trump,” he declared after claiming that President Joe Biden would not know what encryption was and that “Democrats are totally against it.”

Despite Trump telling a crowd in New Hampshire in January that he would “never allow the creation of a central bank digital currency,” calling it a “dangerous threat to freedom,” it appears the former president is warming up to the world of cryptography.

When asked if people could donate to him using crypto, he responded, “If you can’t, I’ll make sure you can,” according to Cointelegraph.

Buyers of 47 NFTs or more also received physical cards featuring pieces of the suit Trump wore during his photo op in Fulton County, Georgia, after being arrested on racketeering charges, his website states. Trump denies all allegations against him.

“This card is not just a souvenir; It’s a piece of history and a testament to resilience,” the website describes the suit sample card. “It is a symbol of President Trump’s unwavering commitment and enduring dedication to the American Dream.”

Those who spent nearly $10,000 on 100 cards were also invited to a VIP pre-dinner cocktail party.

The last time the former president sold NFT cards, he claimed they sold out in less than a day. Trump’s recent case financial disclosure shows that he made between $100,001 and $1 million from his NFTs.

Trump is currently on criminal trial for allegedly falsifying business records related to secret payments made to adult film stars. Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election – reportedly to prevent her from coming forward with allegations of a 2006 affair. Trump denies the affair and the allegations against him.
