Hamster fightingthe latest Telegram-based game that follows in the footsteps of the sensational cryptocurrency game Not moneyis experiencing skyrocketing interest ahead of the token’s upcoming launch The open network (TONNE). Now the team has revealed a huge milestone for players and teased a launch goal for the upcoming token.

On Wednesday, the Hamster Kombat team announced that it has attracted 100 million players to the Telegram mini app to date, surpassing the 60 million players it reported last Friday.

That’s a huge number of players for any game, let alone one that’s set to have a crypto token in the near future. There’s very little friction to start playing, sure, and the game itself is built around a simple clicking mechanism.

It’s not difficult to convince people to come in and start playing Hamster Kombat, although whether they stay is another story. For now, screenshots of the data shared by Hamster Kombat indicate something like 40-45 million daily active users (DAU), although a large chunk of that could be people playing for the first time, given the influx of new users.

Hamster Kombat is also seeing a lot of attention on social media, giving some credence to the stated player base stats.

The game now has singles the largest Telegram channel on the messaging app with over 27 million subscribers, which is more than three times that of Notcoin’s official announcement channel, for example. He also collected nearly 17 million YouTube subscribersand it has almost six million Twitter followers Also.

Why are people incessantly tapping their screens and running a fictional cryptocurrency exchange run by a hamster? Most players will likely be involved for the future throwing tokens, considering how well Notcoin, its spiritual predecessor, has come to gamers recently. And now we have a target for when the token might drop.

In a Twitter Spaces held with the TON Foundation earlier this week, a member of the Hamster Kombat team who called herself “Hamster Girl” said that the current token listing target is in July, though that could change in based on various factors. A representative from the TON Foundation confirmed this separately DecipherGG says on Thursday that the game team is aiming for July.

“It can happen a little earlier, or a little later, because obviously there are several moving parts involved, including compliance [and] negotiations,” Hamster Girl said on Twitter Spaces.

The listing of Notcoin tokens, for example, was delayed by about a month. It was initially scheduled to happen alongside the Bitcoin halving on April 20, but a few days before the expected drop, developer Open Builders postponed the launch of NOT. It then missed its end-April target before its final launch on May 16.

But NOT’s launch has proven to be worth the wait for players, especially those who have held on to their tokens: it’s up 350% in the last two weeks and is now one of the top 60 cryptocurrencies overall by market capitalization equal to 2.15 billion dollars.

Hamster Kombat players will no doubt be hoping for similar buzz once their token becomes available. And Toncoin, The Open Network’s native token, could also benefit from the Hamster Kombat buzz. It is now the tenth most valuable cryptocurrency by market capitalization, TON has reached a new all-time high price of $7.76 early Wednesday.

And for players who enjoy heart-warming gameplay, fear not: unlike Notcoin, Hamster Kombat apparently has no plans to pause the game once the token launch approaches.

“Obviously, the game will never stop,” Hamster Girl said. “It won’t stop after the listing. It will continue to work and there will be many more mechanics, many more cards […] and many more incentives to invite even more friends and play together.”
