Solana-Based Meme Coins Soar Up to 67% as Bitcoin Crashes

Solana-based meme coins are among the categories with the biggest gains in the last 24 hours, up 5.6%, while Bitcoin (BTC) is struggling with a 2% decline in the same period.
According to the data aggregator CoinGeckoSolana’s top gainer was Gigachad (GIGA), which jumped 67.5% on the day. Over the past seven days, GIGA’s performance has been even more significant, showing a 217% increase.
The dog-themed coin Billy (BILLY) also showed a similar performance as it surged almost 50% in 24 hours and over 160% in seven days. Meanwhile, the meme coin Sad Hamster (HAMMY) was posting a negative weekly performance but bounced back with a 30% jump in the last 24 hours.
In particular, the same movement performed by HAMMY was recorded by the token called The Professor (LAB), which rose by 13.2%, showing a weekly growth of 5.4%. Achi Inu and WolfWifBallz, despite their good daily movements of 14.4% and 11.6% respectively, have remained in the red for the last seven days.
The monkeyhaircut (MONK) token leads the middle of the pack, up 21.6% in the last 24 hours and posting a weekly gain of 30.2%. The token has been closely followed by Samurai Cat (YUKI), which is up 17.5% in the intraday timeframe and 26.5% over the last seven days.
The recently launched Spike (SPIKE) has seen the most notable movement in the last hour, rising by 16.3%. This was enough to turn the meme coin positive in the last 24 hours, rising by 5.5%.
Mumu the Bull (MUMU) closes out the Solana-based meme coin group with the best daily performance, with a jump of 18.6% in this period and a weekly growth of over 66%.
