Sigh, someone is trying to make this NFT-only club and workspace again, calling it a ‘crypto sanctuary’

Despite the collapse of the so-called “NFT restaurant” that was supposed to come to the Salesforce Transit Center, and the broader demise of many similar NFT and Web3 boondoggles, does anyone still think that an NFT-only members club in SoMa might appeal beyond a subset at a time? minor of crypto bros.

Remember that brief, bizarre phase in 2022 when all this blockchain and NFT nonsense should it revolutionize every aspect of our lives? And those Bored Monkey NFTs were they being touted as if they were worth millions of dollars? At that time, we were informed that some kind of NFT-backed sushi restaurant would be the next big thing in Salesforce Park. But that restaurant totally fellthose bored monkeys It seemed like some kind of fraud.and Silicon Valley’s crypto brothers needed government bailoutprompting them to “pivot to the AI” so they could pretend they never fell for the whole ruse.

But apparently there are still some resistant to Web3 and NFT, and investors willing to give in to them.

The San Francisco Business Times reports that a new 24/7 NFT-only members club called Casa Zo opened at 300 Fourth Street in SoMa. According to a press releasethey are referring to it as a “Crypto Sanctuary” and “The premier hub for crypto enthusiasts in San Francisco”, saying it is “reserved exclusively for Zo World Founder NFT holders, ensuring a private and elite experience” .

The Business Times estimates that only about 450 people own this NFT, so the appeal appears limited.

And the Zo House organizers are still into that Bored Ape thing, with monkeys in every representation of what they aspire their club to be. (Although Bored Ape NFTs have lost 90% of their value). The Zo House website states that it will offer “NFT-themed suites and dorms,” coworking spaces, a “Web3 Event Hub,” a games room, a podcast studio, and a chef available 24/7.

It’s best to make sure you get paid in advance by this chef 24/7.

The founders have at least been accessible in the history of the NFT market. “I obviously lost a lot of money on NFTs,” co-founder Dharamveer Singh Chouhan admitted to the Business Times. “But I feel like the consumer layer of the largest crypto ecosystem has not yet been revealed.”

The Business Times notes that this is an apparent spin-off of the founders’ India-based hostel chain Zostel. The Business Times adds that Zo World is backed by an “unspecified amount of funding from a family investment office in India, which Zo World declined to name.” So when it comes to getting other people’s money to spend, it seems these founders are still on top of the game.
