Sandbox launches VoxEdit “Rise of the Memecoins” competition
Sandbox, a virtual world platform, has unveiled a new “Rise of the Memecoins” VoxEdit contest with a pool of 10,000 $SAND tokens, inviting creators to design fun meme-inspired digital objects using the platform’s VoxEdit tool.
The contest will run until August 6th at 23:59 UTC, giving participants plenty of time to submit their entries. The total prize pool is 10,000 $SAND tokens. The first place winner will receive $2,500, the second place winner will receive $1,750, and the third place winner will receive $1,000.
The 4th ranked creators will each receive $250 SAND, and all participants will receive $30 SAND as a thank you.
To be eligible for the top three prizes, participants must be verified or have a KYC (Know Your Customer) account. Verification can be achieved by associating a studio with a GMF account or by having participated in five previous competitions with at least one top 10 ranking. However, the 4th to 10th place prizes are open to all participants without these requirements.
As per the contest rules, creators must design a wearable or a complete set of wearables based on selected memes from DOGE, SHIBA, BONK, DEGEN and PEPE. Creators must convert their design into a GIF (animated image) and submit it via a designated online form.
Entrants are encouraged to share their entries on X, tagging @VoxEdit and @TheSandboxGame, and using the hashtags #VoxEdit and #RiseOfTheMemes.
According to the Sandbox, all submissions must comply with the contest rules. Entries that appear sloppy, copied, or contain offensive content will be disqualified.
All entries must be original and cannot use characters or assets from other companies such as Marvel, Disney or Nintendo. Winners will be announced on August 17th or 18th.
