PUPS BRC-20 NFTs pump with over $8 million in sales
Bitcoin PUPS led all non-fungible token (NFT) collections in sales on Thursday after raising more than $8.17 million, according to data from CryptoSlam.
BRC-20 NFTs become the first collection of the month to record more daily sales than “Uncategorized Ordinals,” a group of digital assets representing Bitcoin Ordinals that do not belong to a specific collection.
Registered on the Bitcoin chain, PUPs define themselves as the first “memecoin” on the network
Puppies too it says: “We are the first and not the first memecoin on Bitcoin.”
The collection aims to be converted from BRC-20 to Runes at the expected quadrennial Bitcoin halving next week, according to Decrypt.
Bitcoin Runes utilizes a UTXO (Unspent Transaction Output) protocol, where transactions begin by using unspent shards of Bitcoin – similar to spare digital change – to generate new transactions.
Bitcoin collections dominated the top three, with NodeMonkes and NODE BRC-20 NFTs behind PUPS. Each collection exceeded US$2 million and US$1 million, respectively.
Close behind was Mad Lads on the Solana platform, experiencing a 46% increase to $1.04 million.
In fifth place, Ethereum-based Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) recorded a sales volume of $780,478.87, an increase of 0.46%, with a similar increase in transaction count.
