PancakeSwap to distribute 2.45 million ZK tokens (zkSync) to thank the community
PancakeSwap, the popular multi-chain DEX, has announced a major community rewards program from July 5th to August 5th.
As part of this initiative, PancakeSwap will distribute over 2.45 million zkSync tokens (ZK) to its community members in appreciation for their support of PancakeSwap’s zkSync implementation starting in July 2023. The airdrop in question aims to reward not only long-time contributors, but also newcomers who actively engage with PancakeSwap.
According to the official blog post, veCAKE holders and past contributors are eligible to participate in the airdrop. Eligible users must connect their wallet to the PancakeSwap platform homepage and follow the pop-up notification guide to claim their ZK tokens.
In the meantime, unclaimed tokens will be re-allocated to the PancakeSwap ecosystem for any future development and community projects.
The exchange team said it had made significant progress since it first started live on zkSync Era, a layer-2 network of Ethereum last summer. During this time, the DEX implemented crucial features such as seamless swaps, yield farming, prediction markets, fiat on-ramps, position managers, and syrup pools.
These efforts have helped surpass $3 billion in trading volume, many millions in total value locked (TVL), and over 1.9 million total traders.
