Trump hosted dozens of crypto enthusiasts at his Florida home for an NFT-themed night. As expected, he didn’t mince words in criticizing the industry’s continued crackdown. Trump called out the entire administration, stating, “Gensler is totally against it. Democrats are totally against [but]I’m okay with it, I want to make sure it’s good and solid and everything, but I’m okay with it.”
Trump changes tone, supports crypto and NFTs
Although he’s in the crypto space now, the former reality TV star hasn’t always supported the industry. Three years ago, he stated that Bitcoin “just looks like a scam. I don’t like it because it’s another currency competing with the dollar.”

There is no shortage of crypto and NFT projects bearing Trump’s likeness, most of them unofficially. One of them, Doland Tremp (TREMP), doubled its price on the back of the event; it is now worth $58.6 million.
