Unfounded rumors that the American president Joe Biden is dead and spreading across the internet, crypto degenerates have created a new batch of morbid political meme coins.

Biden is dead (BIDEAD) was created on Monday and has already reached a market capitalization of $660,000. Shortly after, Biden Done (BIDONE), illustrated with a drawing of the president’s skeleton. It quickly reached a market capitalization of $567,000.

At the time of writing, meme coin factory Pump.fun is the breeding ground for tokens claiming that Biden is dead or that his death is imminent. In fact, of the first 10 tokens in the protocol containing the word “Biden,” seven of them refer to the president’s death while an eighth celebrates him to still be alive.

This rumor can be traced back to the Twitter account World Press A supposedly verified source told the outlet that Biden was “unlikely to survive the night” after testing positive for COVID-19. That claim was followed by a Twitter community note citing a source Letter from the President’s doctor claiming that Biden’s vital signs are completely normal. Along with this, the Associated Press reported that Biden’s COVID-19 symptoms have “almost completely disappeared.”

Other sources, such as well-known conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, have fanned the flames by drawing more attention to the topic. World Press and other baseless allegations.

Despite this, degenerates continue to invest in tokens claiming that the American president is dead. Interestingly, one token predicts that he will die “exactly at midnight” on August 15.

BidenDeadAugust 15 (BIDEAD) was created two months ago and remained dormant until late July, when the token began to skyrocket. The meme coin soared 615% on the day Biden dropped the 2024 US presidential race and then another 64% following the conspiracy theory that the president’s condition is unstable following his COVID-19 diagnosis.

But as World PressThe tweet was debunked, the token fell 67% and returned below the price it saw when Biden dropped out of the race.

Also, Jeo Boden (BODEN), an intentionally misspelled Joe Biden meme token on Solana, has surged 148% in the past 24 hours. However, this spike still leaves the token 98% below its all-time high reached in April.
