Mother Iggy (MOTHER), a new meme cryptocurrency launched by Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, skyrocketed more than 120% last Thursday, reaching a new all-time high of $0.2306, according to CoinGecko data.

The cryptocurrency’s fully diluted valuation has now reached nearly a quarter of a billion dollars.

According to the crypto analytics firm, the most recent price surge came after a whale withdrew Solana (SOL) worth $1.54 million from Binance to buy 8.6 million MOTHER tokens at 0, 1789 dollars. Guardaonchain.

For now, the newly launched token is only available on a few smaller cryptocurrency exchanges such as HTX, MEXC, and CoinEx. However, it is rapidly gaining ground with further trading.

Meanwhile, Azalea, who achieved huge success with her chart-topping hit “Fancy” in 2014, remains the most talked about topic in the cryptocurrency world. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin weighed in on the celebrity meme coin bonanza on Wednesday, claiming he is “unhappy” with the latest cryptocurrency trend. In response, Azalea mocked the Ethereum co-founder posting a meme showing her holding a baby with Buterin’s head in an apparent reference to her viral meme coin.

The 33-year-old rapper continues to actively engage with the cryptocurrency community. He recently shared a post on social media comparing the emerging celebrity coin to established meme coins (like dogwifhat or Pepe) that boast listings on major cryptocurrency exchanges and multi-billion dollar valuations.

Naturally, he entertains his followers with hilarious memes about the performance of the meme coin.

For now, dogwifhat remains the largest Solana-based meme coin with a valuation of over $3.3 billion.
