‘Highest samples’ of basic NFTs hit $10 million in volumes this week to top
Higher Samples, a new NFT collection on Base, has become the top collection by trading volume over the past week. DappRadar data shows it has generated more than $10.8 million in trading volumes over the past seven days, surpassing fantasy.topanother new collection that is currently popular.
DappRadar specified that the collection was added automatically based on on-chain data and that a human verification of its data integrity is still pending.
The highest samples are an NFT collection released in April and are available on several major marketplaces, including OpenSea, Magic Eden, and Rarible.
The collection is made up of 7,777 items that represent swatches – interactive screens that display colors and movements.
The collection description reads:
“Each swatch is a unique work of art defined by a 3×3 grid of distinct color shapes drawn from selected color palettes. The infinitely repeatable interaction begins when the viewer touches a shape, causing it to momentarily disappear as the shape’s color spreads across the entire grid.”
PFP NFTs were created by user jvmi, an NFT artist and streetwear designer. However, the collection is most active in Warpcastthe Twitter version of the Farcaster app on Base.
OpenSea data shows that this Friday alone the collection generated more than 1,900 ETH in volumes, which is equivalent to more than US$7 million. Therefore, the latest volume numbers from the last 7 days could end up being much higher.
Meanwhile, the average price of a sample rose to over 10 ETH.
Interestingly, although it is a new collection, the samples already have a healthy distribution, with 96% of NFTs being held by wallets that hold 1 item. This suggests that there are over 6,500 different owners of this collection.
NFTs have been a dormant market compared to the 2021 boom, but some individual collections are showing impressive performance.
