“Heroes of Mavia” will soon allow you to earn its Ethereum token on iOS and Android
Mobile game Heroes of Maviaa crypto-tinged Clash of Clans clone on iOS and Android, announced this weekend that it is entering “Phase 2: Next Frontier,” which aims to integrate the MAVIA token into its gameplay loop with a host of new features.
Elements of the crypto integration will be released gradually over the next four months, and creator Skrice Studios says most of the features have been developed and are currently being tested ahead of the full launch. By the end of the phase, the project aims to create a sustainable environment symbolic economy and ecosystem.
The MAVIA token launched on Ethereum in February, with Skrice airdropping it to 100,000 players along with holders of approximately 10,000 Ethereum NFT playgrounds. But until then the token had no function in the game.
A web market is ready to launch and will allow players and speculators to trade NFTs of legendary items for MAVIA tokens. This happens after the game launches The ruby market in May, which allowed users to trade items for RUBY, Heroes of Mavia’s off-chain in-game currency.
While RUBY is not a cryptocurrency, to comply with Apple’s App Store guidelines, it mimics the behavior of cryptocurrencies. In turn, each RUBY transaction is traceable using the soon-to-be released block explorer Ruby scan. It will work just like any other block explorerallowing you to search for addresses and see all their transactions, both RUBY and MAVIA, in this case.
Through the next Ruby exchange toolusers will be able to convert their in-game RUBY into MAVIA crypto tokens, at a fluctuating rate with the market. Overall, there will be 10 new features coming in Phase 2, including a NFT and token bridgeMAVIA betting pooland a new one PvP game mode.
This comes after what seems to have been successful launch phase for the Clash of clansinspired touchscreen strategy game. According to the team, Heroes of Mavia has attracted over 4 million downloads on iOS and Android, has seen an average daily active user base of 74,000, and has distributed over 275 million RUBIES earned in-game.
Despite all the news, however, the MAVIA token continued its downward trajectory. It fell 8% on the day to $2.17, per CoinGecko, marking a decline of 21% in the last week and 34% in the last 30 days. MAVIA has now fallen nearly 80% from its all-time high price of $10.57 set in February.
