BTC drops to $66,000, followed mostly by altcoins, but BOME climbs 11%
Cryptocurrency prices have taken a mostly bearish turn today after remarkable gains seen recently. Bitcoin (BTC) price has fallen back to the $66,000 level, while Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and XRP have dropped by 0.7-6%. The global cryptocurrency market cap has plunged by 3.32% to $2.38 trillion today. However, the total cryptocurrency market volume has seen a 72.97% increase to $83.26 billion.
Here’s a look at some of the top-ranked cryptocurrencies by market cap and their price movements today, July 30.
Cryptocurrency Prices Today
Bitcoin Price
The price of BTC has climbed 4.16% over the past 24 hours to $66,555.76. Its 24-hour lows and highs were recorded at $65,894.27 and $69,987.54, respectively. Despite the spot Bitcoin ETF recording 124.13 million entries, the token has embarked on a downward trajectory.
This downward price movement has raised additional concerns, as recent on-chain data suggests that Mount Gox is potentially preparing for another BTC transfer. Data indicates that the Mt. Gox address (12Rgp) transferred 0.02 BTC (roughly $1,350) to the address starting with 1Adb. In another transaction, 0.0001 BTC was moved to the address starting with bc1q.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin dominance has seen its value drop by 0.56% to 54.92% today. It is also worth mentioning that the US government recently moved $2 billion from Bitcoin seized from the once-active dark web site Silk Route.
Ethereum Price
The ETH price chart showed a very choppy move over the past day, sliding 0.77% to trade at $3,319.01. Its 24-hour lows and highs were recorded at $3,257.72 and $3,396.63, respectively.
Notably, Ethereum Staking ETH has reached a new high amidst buzz around spot ETFs. Nevertheless, the crypto community is eagerly awaiting a significant change in price action for ETH following the ETF launch and recent market events.
Solana Price
The SOL crypto has shown signs of retreat, dropping 4.94% in value over the past day to $182.54. Solana’s 24-hour lows and highs were $179.63 and $193.73, respectively. It’s worth noting that talk of a potential Solana ETF has also cooled, as BlackRock CIO Samara Cohen recently confirmed that no SOL ETF would be available in the near future.
XRP Price
Meanwhile, the XRP Price The chart shows a 0.92% drop at press time to $0.601. Its 24-hour lows and highs were $0.5933 and $0.6114, respectively.
DOGE & SHIB Prices
On the other hand, Dogecoin (DOGE) price has dropped by 3.25% over the past day and is currently trading at $0.1294. Similarly, Shiba Inu (SHIB) has dropped by 2.43% to $0.00001673.
However, Book of Meme (BOME) stole the show within the meme coin sector, rising nearly 11% to $0.01056.

Additionally, hourly charts showed BTC gaining 0.16% while ETH surged 0.03%, adding a layer of intrigue to cryptocurrency prices today.
