Animoca Brands Japan Reveals ‘SORAH’ NFT Launchpad
Animoca Brands Japan announced the name of his new NFT launch padSORAH by Animoca Brands Japan, scheduled for release in summer 2024.
SORAH, named after the Japanese word for heaven, aims to support NFT projects, offering opportunities for creators to sell their NFTs, while also offering various sales methods and loyalty programs.
More information about these programs will be released later.

Connecting the world as one
Kensuke Amo, COO of Animoca Brands Japan, explained the inspiration for the name: “SORAH by Animoca Brands Japan is inspired by our goal to seamlessly connect Japan and the global community in the web3 domain, just like the sky (SORA [空] in Japanese) connects the world as one. Since its inception, Animoca Brands Japan has been involved in the global development of Japanese intellectual property and content (IP) in the web3 domain, while supporting the development of foreign projects in Japan. Now, by establishing our own launch pad , we aim to further strengthen these efforts and accelerate the mass adoption of Web3 by serving as a gateway for IP between Japan and abroad.”
The launchpad will support blockchain networks such as Ethereum and Polygon, and payment options will include credit cards and cryptocurrencies.
SORAH will use sales formats such as lotteries and first-come, first-served methods, and will be compatible with digital wallets such as Metamask and WalletConnect, using ERC-721 token pattern for NFTs.
The platform also aims to increase the global presence of Japanese intellectual property, including manga and anime, and aims to act as a bridge between Japanese intellectual properties and international audiences.
